We landed on the moon!

40 years ago today, Apollo 11 Mission Commander Neil Armstrong and Lunar Module Pilot Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin became the first humans to walk on the moon. Those small steps for man represented the culmination of nearly a decade of hard work and perseverance by hundreds of NASA scientists. It also represents one of the first times Americans asserted their dominance in the world of science...a place that I hope my generation can help return us to. After I'm done with some work here, I'm planning on heading home to to further commemorate this giant leap for mankind with some NOVA Science Now and a nice glass of Tang.
